What's Cuter than a Panda Or an Elephant? An Elephant Painted Like a Panda

If something’s really fucking ugly, all you need to do is make it look like a panda, everyone knows that. Have you ever seen an ugly panda? Neither have I. These zookeepers apparently had the crazy idea to paint over these elephants to make them look more like pandas, totally disregarding the fact that the elephant is the national symbol of their country. Or maybe these elephants are assholes and needed to be taught a lesson…the hard way. Nothing’s more embarrassing than looking like a pussy when you’re rough and rugged.

Slathering them in white watercolour paint, the keepers at the Ayutthaya Elephant Kraal then paraded the five elephants before schoolchildren in an effort to remind Thailand that its elephants have needs, too.

The furore was sparked after the nation became fascinated with the birth of a female panda cub to pandas Lin Hui and Xuang Xuang at Chiang Mai zoo.

The Bangkok Post also reported that a 20 million baht (£355,800) snow house was being built for the panda family at the zoo.

While one commentator on the Bangkok Post website wondered drily if zookeepers were going ‘a bit overboard’, others seemed to agree with their action.”

I’m pretty sure the people of Thailand love elephants. Have you seen that movie with Tony Jaa where he kills, like, 500 people because they stole his elephant? I imagine that any elephant owner would do the same thing. I know I would. I think I said the word elephant too many times in this post.
